Founded by Robin Martin in early 2012 The Local Talk provides news from people living, learning and working in your local area.

Unlike traditional news publications, The Local Talk relies solely on contributions from local individuals and organisations and we pride ourselves on having an editorial voice that reflects the opinions of our contributors.

We believe that the individuals and organisations that make up a community have enough to say without the need for ‘journalistic sensationalism’.

It is for this reason that all articles on The Local Talk are credited to the individual or business that wrote the piece and all contributors have their own profile page that includes a mini bio and website link – great for driving traffic back to the author’s own website.
